Finding a job in the Netherlands is rarely just about sending more CVs. For many internationals, the real challenge is understanding how networking actually works — and how to do it in a way that feels natural, strategic and effective.

In this interactive online workshop, you’ll learn why your network often plays a bigger role than your CV in the Dutch job market — and how to use it intentionally as part of your job search.
We will briefly explore how hiring typically works in the Netherlands and why so many roles are filled through conversations and referrals. The main focus, however, is practical networking: what it really means, what works (and what doesn’t), and how to approach it without feeling awkward, pushy or fake.

This is not a lecture. You will actively practise networking conversations in breakout rooms, connect with other participants, and start shaping your own networking strategy during the session.

By the end of the workshop, you will have more clarity, more confidence, and a simple, realistic plan you can implement immediately. This session is especially relevant for internationals who are currently job hunting, considering a career move, or feeling stuck despite sending applications.
